Forever 88: A Tribute to the Cherished Icon We’ve Lost

On August 18th, the world of cinema lost its most elegant and beautiful representative, a symbol of French cinema and a heartthrob to women around the world, Alain Delon.

It is known that he passed away at his home in the French commune of Douchy, surrounded by his loved ones.

“Alain-Fabien, Anouchka, Anthony, and (his dog) Lupo, with immense sorrow, announce the passing of their father. He peacefully passed away at his home in Douchy, surrounded by his three children,”

— stated the family in a statement.

The exact cause of death has not been disclosed, but in recent years, the actor suffered greatly from a progressive lymphoma and advancing Alzheimer’s disease.

Two years ago, it was reported that the sex symbol was emotionally broken, weary of loneliness and pain, and expressed a desire to end his life through euthanasia. He had made the necessary arrangements.

In January 2024, a court restricted his legal capacity, prohibiting him from managing his property.

Alain Delon had three children: two sons and a daughter. It was his daughter Anouchka who was closest to him in the final years of his life. She periodically shared photos online, demonstrating that although her father was seriously ill, he had not lost his optimism, his mind, or his unique charm.

“Delon will always remain Delon,”

— she optimistically captioned his last photos.
