The 89-year-old ex-actress and former model is currently living in the South of France and appears to be enjoying life.

However, this past summer, she experienced a disturbing episode, prompting emergency services to rush to her home.

Birgitte Bardot rose to prominence as an actress and model starting in 1952. She quickly became an icon and one of the most recognizable pop culture sex symbols of the 1950s and 1960s.

She was known for portraying freedom-loving women who lived on the wild side.
However, the actress quit from acting and modeling in 1973 to pursue a career as an activist. Her primary focus of activism is animal preservation and welfare. She was, however, chastised for making racist and homophobic slurs in her own memoirs.

The 89-year-old French film icon is married to husband Bernard d’Ormale.

Her spouse, d’Ormale, addressed to the media and confirmed the recent health scare Bardot experienced.

Many sections of Europe experienced scorching heat in the summer of 2023, prompting officials to issue heatwave warnings to the elderly.

Unfortunately, shielding oneself from the severe heat proved difficult, as legendary figure Brigitte Bardot discovered firsthand in July.

“It was around 9 a.m. when Brigitte had trouble breathing,” the doctor added.

According to him: “The firefighters arrived, gave her oxygen to breathe and stayed for a moment to watch her.”

Bernard d’Ormale informed the source that the firefighters’ arrival was somewhat delayed since they first went to the wrong address before arriving at the correct one.
